Nova Scotia Brotherhood

Created to support Black and African Nova Scotian men facing barriers to healthcare, the Nova Scotia Brotherhood program offers free, culturally relevant health services, wellness programs and community connection — all designed by and for the community. From barbershop talks to running groups and court support, the Brotherhood is empowering Black and African Nova Scotian men to take charge of their health and well-being.

Health and wellness services can include:

• Culturally appropriate primary medical care

• Health promotion and wellness education

• Chronic disease management

• Navigation to community resources

• Free health and wellness programs
